Choose a plan online, then activate your SIM with the serial number on the card and a valid form of ID such as an Australian driver's licence, passport or Medicare card. New services can also be set up as an eSIM with no physical SIM to wait for. To keep your number, select "transfer existing number" and leave your old SIM in until the transfer completes, usually within a few hours.
