Who is Click Energy owned by?

Click Energy was purchased by Amaysim in October 2017..

If you were one of the 200,000+ Click Energy customers, you will have been moved to Amaysim. If you haven’t yet checked your new energy plan with Amaysim and see if you can switch to a better offer, now is the perfect time to compare electricity and gas plans.

Does Click Energy still exist?

Click Energy is no longer able to sell energy after it surrendered its retail authorizations once Amaysim purchased the energy company. Click Energy is no longer publicly available and all Click Energy customers have been moved to Amaysim.

How do I know if I was switched to Amaysim from Click Energy?

If you were previously a Click Energy customer you should have received written notification, either by post or in your email, about the switch to Amaysim.

Since Amaysim energy plans come with no lock-in contracts, however, you are free to switch at any time if you’re not thrilled with the transition.

Is Click Energy any Good?

Click Energy was well known in the energy market. It was one of the first early adopters of an online energy service business model, and pass those savings onto its customers. However, Click Energy was also the centre of controversy when it was revealed that the energy provider misled their customers with their claims of potential savings. After this controversy and $900,000 fee, it's no big surprise that Click Energy was acquired by Amaysim.

About Click Energy Australia

Click Energy, a subsidiary of Amaysim, was first founded in Victoria in 2006 as an online-only energy provider serving the Australian energy market. In 2007, Click Energy expanded into the Queensland Market, and then again in 2013 with an expansion into the New South Wales market. In 2017, Amaysim acquired Click Energy for $120m.

Currently, Click Energy provides electricity to customers in Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and South East Queensland, as well as natural gas to most customers in Victoria and the Sydney, Wollongong, and Newcastle areas.

Moving house with Click Energy

Cooling Off PeriodAustralia Law states that all energy customers get a 10-business-day cooling off period after subscribing to a new energy service. During these 10 days, you are able to cancel your plan at any time, no questions asked. For customers outside of the cooling-off period, call 1800 775 929 in order to cancel your energy service with Click Energy.

New and existing Click Energy customers can plan their move to a new house with Click Energy. All new and existing customers can move house with Click Energy by filling out their online form and choosing their move-in date. For urgent moves which require less than three business days notice, customers can dial 1300 669 432 to organize an urgent connection.
