Pay, move, cancel

MATE billing, moving & cancelling

Pay a MATE bill

MATE only accepts direct debit from a credit or debit card and uses anniversary billing, so you are billed each month on the date your account was activated. Invoices are issued in advance, with payment due 14 days later. After a failed debit MATE retries after four days; if unpaid after eight days your service may be suspended.

Moving home

Moving with MATE follows the same process as cancelling and reopening an account. Call 13 14 13 to set the cancellation and reconnection dates. Do this as soon as possible, as connecting a new home can take two or more weeks depending on the connection.

Cancel your plan

Because MATE mobile and broadband plans have no lock-in contract, you can cancel at any time by calling 13 14 13. Note that MATE does not offer pro-rata refunds or credits if you cancel mid-billing period.
