Southern Phone is an Australian regional telecommunications company that has been offering regional broadband and mobile services to customers since 2002. First established by local councils in New South Wales in order to provide regional and remote Australians with telecommunications solutions, it has since provided more than $14.8 million in dividends to local councils who are shareholders of the company.
Southern Phone offers regional support to communities through a number of grants and schemes, including donating $25,000 per year to each if its local council shareholders for community groups in each region and a STEM scholarship program first started in 2017.
