What is Superloop internet?
Superloop, first founded in 2014, aims to be "the most trusted enabler of connectivity and managed services in Asia Pacific". Today it owns and operates more than 894km of metropolitan fibre networks across Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong, and offers Australian customers simple, no-fuss home broadband plans across the country.
As a smaller internet service provider, Superloop focuses only on broadband, choosing to forego mobile plans, landline services and entertainment bundles. Superloop internet plans start at around $59 per month, costing about the same as other low-cost ISPs, but often with special discounts for new customers. If you plan to move house with Superloop, you can do so easily online or by phone, which makes it one of the cheapest and easiest NBN providers to use.

Our take. Superloop offers not just standard NBN tiers (NBN 25 to NBN 100) but also NBN Superfast and Ultrafast, plus high-speed fixed wireless in some areas. The trade-off is that it does only one thing, broadband, with no bundles, mobile or home phone. On price it is on par with other mid-range NBN providers, with a 6-month new-customer discount. NBN alternative
Superloop fixed wireless broadband
If you live in Adelaide or one of its select suburbs, Superloop Fixed Wireless is an NBN alternative. It uses wireless radio to deliver superfast broadband from a tower (with a clear line of sight to the antenna and dish on your roof), then a Power-over-Ethernet device acts as a standard WiFi router inside your home. There are two contract terms: month-to-month ($249 upfront setup) or 12 months ($189.95 upfront setup).

How to check for a Superloop outage
If you are experiencing a disruption, you can check your network status for planned and unplanned outages online. Any known disruptions appear at the top of your Members Area once you log in (click "View More" for details), and you can check the NBN Co website directly for NBN outages in your area.

While less well known than other ISPs, do not let that put you off considering Superloop when comparing broadband plans and providers. What we like is that Superloop offers not just standard NBN tiers (NBN 25 to NBN 100) but also NBN Superfast and Ultrafast, plus high-speed fixed wireless in some locations.
