Overview of Elysian Energy

Elysian Energy is a relatively new energy retailer on the Australian market, offering simple plans to allow households to better budget their energy bills through fixed, monthly, pricing. First founded by Scott Wells, they began selling electricity to Victorian customers before recently expanding into New South Wales, Queensland, and South Australia.

Elysian Energy electricity offers

Elysian Energy offers energy a little differently to customers in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, and Queensland. Customers elect a plan based on their household size and average energy usage, which dictates exactly how much they will pay per month. If they use more electricity than expected they will be billed for the excess energy at the end of the month, if they use less they will get credited for whatever wasn’t used.

Elysian Energy also promises to ensure all customers are on the most appropriate plan. If you use more than 10% of the energy on your current plan, you’ll be bumped up to the next highest plan for the following month. However, if a customer uses 25% less energy, they will be moved down to a smaller plan.

Elysian Energy reviews

Due to Elysian Energy’s small size, there are not many reviews online. ProductReview has two reviews from customers, as of March 2020. One customer states that their energy bills are much lower, and switching was simple and painless. While the second review states that switching was also quite simple, changing to a new credit card after their old one expired was difficult and required contacting Elysian Energy customer service multiple times in an attempt to get it resolved.
