Business Services at Blue NRG
Blue NRG provides a range of energy solutions designed to help small and large businesses optimise their energy usage and reduce costs. Hereâs an overview of the services offered by Blue NRG:
My Account
All Blue NRG customers gain access to the âMy Accountâ portal. This platform allows customers with a smart meter to monitor their electricity usage by year, month, week, or day. This feature helps businesses identify when they are using the most electricity. In addition to usage tracking, the Blue NRG My Account offers 24/7 access to self-service tools such as downloading invoices, updating contact details, and setting email alerts for when electricity usage exceeds a preset amount.
Electric Vehicle Chargers
Blue NRG provides electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions for business premises and home offices. Through their ChargeMate offer, business customers can rent an EV charger for $30 a month. These chargers are installed and rented directly through Jet Charge and are compatible with all EVs sold in Australia. The installation fee for an EV charger is approximately $750, which is not included in the monthly rental fee. Blue NRG claims this infrastructure can charge an EV three times faster than a standard charger.
Energy Health Check
Blue NRG also offers energy health checks in partnership with the independent energy consultant, Empower. This service includes a desktop assessment to identify areas where your business is consuming the most energy and suggests solutions to reduce or offset these costs. Blue NRG reviews your businessâs energy usage, including any solar exports and generational assets, to determine potential savings. They also compare your network tariff details to identify cheaper alternatives. An energy health check costs about $400, and businesses must use over 20MWh of electricity per year to qualify for the assessment.
Energy Management System
Blue NRG customers can also benefit from an energy management system for their business. This bundled service includes a smart hub that records and collates energy usage data. Using a mobile app, customers can access this information to identify potential energy cost reductions. The package also includes smart plugs and controls to manage individual appliances' energy usage.
According to Blue NRG, the energy management system offers benefits such as solar optimisation, demand management, and load scheduling, helping businesses take advantage of peak and off-peak periods. Blue NRGâs business energy services aim to help companies manage their energy consumption efficiently and cost-effectively. From detailed usage tracking and EV charging solutions to comprehensive energy health checks and management systems, Blue NRG provides a variety of tools to support businesses in their energy optimisation efforts.
Blue NRG Solar Review
Blue NRG offers a number of green and renewable energy options for environmentally-minded Australians, including solar PV installations, solar battery storage, a solar hot water program, and a solar feed-in tariff.
Blue NRG does offer a solar feed-in tariff to customers with solar panels, though they donât offer a premium solar feed-in tariff at this time. Blue NRG feed-in tariffs, like other energy providersâ, have been reduced over the years as more and more Australians invest in solar energy and export renewable energy back to the grid.
While not an accredited solar installer like other energy providers such as AGL or Origin Energy, Blue NRG can help facilitate your transition to a more renewable source.
Below, you will find the Blue NRG feed-in tariff available in your state.
State | Blue NRG Feed-in Tariff |
---|---|
New South Wales | 5.0c / kWh |
Victoria | 4.9c / kWh |
Queensland | 5.0c / kWh |
South Australia | 5.0c / kWh |
Valid November 2024.

Some customers say that this is due to sudden increases in supply and usage rates, while others say Blue NRG wrongly estimates their gas or electricity usage.
Bertha says in their 1-star Blue NRG review on ProductReview:
We are one of the small business client with BlueNRG. The latest invoice told us that we have $487.5 for the National Energy Bill Relief program. As I know the maximum amount granted should be $650, we have created the billing enquiry ticket on 30 Apr 2024. It said someone will contact us within 5 business days. Oh 10 days already, no one reach us. I have email a few times, no reply as well.
Brad says in their 1-star Blue NRG review:
We notified BlueNRG that we were moving and set up a new account with them for our new address but for 3 months they have sent threatening letters about reporting our credit file and cutting our power at the old place. Doesn't matter how many times we explain we no longer occupy that premises. Cut the power and see if I care!!! If you mark my credit file ill see you in court!!
On the other hand, many customers have excellent experiences with the customer service at Blue NRG, even name dropping many of the helpful representatives. Customers who give 5-star reviews also mention the excellent prices and the clear setup and service that they recieve during the process.
Mal McKenzie says in their 5-star Blue NRG review:
Bryan Smith was excellent at handling all my enquiries, he patiently listened and knew all the information needed to swiftly establish what needed to be done. Easy to understand and polite. New account established in a very short time and yes, I have done this before many times so know how long it can take.
