Telstra TV: what replaced the box
Telstra TV, the streaming box that pulled live TV, catch-up and apps into one place, has been retired. The service was switched off on 30 October 2024 and the boxes no longer work. Telstra TV has shut down. The service was switched off on 30 October 2024 and the boxes no longer work. If your old box is still plugged in, you can recycle it at a Telstra store. For new entertainment, Telstra now points customers to Fetch TV.

Telstra TV has been switched off
Telstra wound the service down in stages through 2024 and early 2025. Here is the timeline.

Telstra TV switched off
The Telstra TV service was decommissioned. The boxes can no longer browse, watch, open apps or change settings.
31 January 2025
Box Office transfers ended
The option to move previously purchased Box Office titles across to Fetch was withdrawn.

Telstra TV is now Fetch TV
Telstra took a majority stake in Fetch TV in 2022 and migrated Telstra TV customers across. Fetch does what Telstra TV did, combining live TV, recording and streaming apps in one box.

Free-to-air channels and catch-up in one guide, with the ability to pause and record live TV on the Fetch box.
Streaming apps
Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video, BINGE and more sit alongside your live TV, each with its own subscription.
Optional channel packs
Add genre-based channel packs (such as kids, knowledge or vibe) only if you want them, on top of the free content.
Fetch TV Mini 4K
Telstra began moving Telstra TV customers onto the Fetch TV Mini 4K from December 2023 as it wound the old service down.
