For customers in the National Electricity Market (NSW, Vic, Qld, and SA), Alinta Energy offers four electricity and gas plans. All of the plans come with flexible billing and payment options, no lock in contract, and access to discounts.
- Home Saver: Alinta Energy’s Home Saver offer gives customers a simple and competitive energy plan with no confusing discounts.
- Carbon Balance: Alinta Energy’s Carbon Balance is available to NSW, South East QLD, VIC, and SA customers.
- Solar Balance: Alinta Energy’s Solar Balance is offered in NSW and South East QLD. It has a stepped feed-in tariff of 10c/kWh for the first 10kW then drops down to 4c/kWh in QLD, 5c/kWh in NSW, and 3.3c/kWh in VIC. Customers must have a solar system no larger than 10kW.
- Standing Offer (Based on the Default Market Offer): Alinta Energy’s most simple energy plan with standard rates, no lock in contract and no exit fees.

Alinta Energy Solar Feed-in Tariff Rates
If your home has solar panels, you’re probably interested in how large a solar feed-in-tariff you can get from your energy provider.
A solar FiT is a type of tariff where your energy provider pays you for solar energy that you generate with your solar panels and send back into the grid. One of the pro's of Alinta Energy is their solar feed-in tariff for households in NSW, QLD, South Australia, and Victoria.

Looking to Change?Under Australian law, energy customers are entitled to a 10-business-day cooling off period after subscribing to a new energy service. During this time customers can cancel their energy plan for any reason, without penalty. After the 10-day period, customers who wish to cancel might incur an exit fee. If you've compared different energy providers and have decided to make the switch to Alinta Energy, you can sign up online or over the phone.
Customers can subscribe to Alinta Energy online, by filling out an online application form. You will need to select your state and follow the instructions. Your application will need to include your name, address, identification, the name of anyone else you want on the energy bill, as well as the rental agreement if you lease. Alinta Energy will run a credit check and once it is approved, they will begin your transfer to Alinta Energy.
To sign up for Alinta Energy in Western Australia, you will need to submit an online application form which will need to include your name, address, the name of anyone else you want on the energy bill, as well as rental agreement if you lease.
Alinta Energy will then send you a welcome pack to your home, or via email (depending on your preferred method of communication. After the 10-day cooling period is over, Alinta will notify your energy distributor, who will be sent to your house to do a meter reading. Please note that this can take anywhere from 10 to 90 days, depending on when it was last read. Once your meter has been read, your energy account will officially be transferred to Alinta Energy. You will be notified by Alinta and you will also receive a final bill from your previous energy provider.
