Overview of Aussie Broadband
Aussie Broadband was first formed in 2008 as the result of a merger between Wideband Networks and Westvic Broadband. As an Australian-owned and operated company, it prides itself in investing in local jobs and services. Today, Aussie Broadband offers broadband, mobile, and fixed-line services across Australia.
Keeping in line with Aussie Broadband's values of transparency to its customers, they publish daily Connectivity Virtual Circuit graphs for each network area where customers can check the upload and download speeds of the last 24 hours. In addition, Aussie Broadband has taken a hard stance against broadband congestion, choosing to stop selling more connections in areas at 80% or more capacity until more bandwidth infrastructure is in place to allow additional customers to join.
Aussie Broadband Network Coverage
Aussie Broadband is an MVNO under the Telstra Network. Under the Telstra Network, Aussie Broadband covers 99% of the population over 1.62 million square kilometres in Australia. Through Telstra, Aussie Broadband customers can expect to see 4GX and 5G expand and increase in population coverage over the following years.
