Aussie Broadband Outages

Just like with all providers, at some point, you may find yourself dealing with an Aussie Broadband outage.

According to the outage tracking website Down Detector, 88% of Aussie Broadband outages are reported for their internet service. The remaining 11% of Aussie Broadband outages come from Aussie Broadband's mobile network service.

Therefore, your chances of dealing with an outage from Aussie Broadband will be more likely with your Aussie Broadband NBN connection than with your mobile phone.

However, not all issues with the internet have to do with outages in the network. What happens if you need to check? Read on.

Is Aussie Broadband Down? - How to Check

If you have a suspicion that the Aussie Broadband network is down, you can check online to see if other customers have reported the same issue.

You have two options for checking online for an Aussie Broadband outage:

  2. Down Detector Website

On the Aussie Broadband website at the link above, you can see a list of all current outages (if there are any) and a full list of future planned outages.

On the other hand, Aussie Broadband says it prides itself on its transparency with its customers.

Here is a quote taken from the Aussie Broadband website:

"At Aussie Broadband, we pride ourselves on our No Bullsh*t value and that means giving our customers information, regarding outages, as soon as it becomes available to us."

You'll be notified by email of an Aussie Broadband outage in your service area as soon as an outage is detected on their end and only if it applies to you.

As mentioned above, you can also take a look on the Down Detector website, where people report live outages and outages from within the last 24-hours. Here you can also view a map of where the reports came from.

Keep in mind that a slow connection doesn't always mean you have an outage in your area.

Aussie Broadband Moving House

Aussie Broadband recommends contacting their customer service team once you know your moving date, as early as possible, by calling 1300 880 905.

Aussie Broadband will close down the current address and set up the new address to be activated on your chosen day. Aussie Broadband has no connection, set-up, or moving fee unless the connection is at a new housing development.

If the NBN connection is at a new property development, there will be an additional charge from the NBNCo. which is usually $297.

Aussie Broadband Pay My Bill

The quickest and easiest way to pay your Aussie Broadband bill is to visit my.aussiebroadband.com.au or to download the MyAussie app on your smartphone.

MyAussieBroadband is the online portal where you'll be able to not only pay your bill but also can manage your entire account, including upgrading or downgrading your service.

But on to the heart of the matter: paying your bill.

There are several different ways you pay your Aussie Broadband bill, including:

 Direct debit or credit: Your payments are automatically deducted from your nominated bank card and account and can be set up through My Aussie Portal
